Sustainable Pittsburgh Reaffirming Environmental Rights For PA Citizens Forum Oct. 11

The Sustainable Community Development Network of Pittsburgh will hold a special Reaffirming Environmental Rights For Pennsylvania Citizens Forum on October 11 about the recent PA Supreme Court ruling on the Environmental Rights Amendment in Pennsylvania’s Constitution.

The Forum will be held at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, 130 S. Whitfield Street in Pittsburgh from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Panelists will include--

-- George Jugovic, PennFuture’s Vice President of Legal Affairs, will share insights on ways in which the Environmental Rights Amendment is entering advocacy initiatives; and

-- John Dernbach is a nationally and internationally recognized authority on sustainable development, climate change, and environmental law. He is the director of the Widener University Law School’s Environmental Law and Sustainability Center, and brings his expertise into the classroom in courses on property, environmental law, international law, and sustainability.
