The Game Commission will host a webinar on October 24 on the issue of Lead Toxicity In Bald Eagles In Pennsylvania from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Pennsylvania has lost a number of bald eagles due to lead poisoning.

During this webinar, Game Commission Veterinarian Justin Brown will explain how lead produces disease in avian scavengers and how eagles and other scavengers obtain lead from the environment.

He will also provide details about existing surveillance for causes of bald eagle morbidity and mortality.
