Penn State Extension will hold a Dive Even Deeper: Mining and Water Quality Workshop for Educators on September 20 at the Jennings Environmental Education Center in Butler County.

Dive Even Deeper is a new program conceived as part of Penn State Extension's award winning Dive Deeper Water Educators Summit. Dive Even Deeper takes educators further into unique water topics during a one day, hands-on, interactive workshop.

Topics to be covered in this workshop include: Western PA Mining History; Mining and Water Quality Impacts; Generating Curiosity in the Classroom; Conducting Investigations and Abandoned Mine Drainage Treatment Exploration.

Act 48 credits are available.
