WILD About Falcons Educator Workshop April 9, Middle Creek Wildlife Area, Lebanon County

Pennsylvania educators are invited to attend "WILD About Falcons," a free peregrine falcon workshop April 9 from 9 :00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Game Commission's Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in Kleinfeltersville in Lebanon County. The workshop is sponsored by the Game Commission and the Department of Environmental Protection, in cooperation with ZOOAMERICA North American Wildlife Park and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Educators in attendance will explore the successful peregrine falcon reintroduction in Pennsylvania, their natural history, highlighting their numerous adaptations and endangered species concepts. Participants will also enjoy the opportunity to observe a live falcon and time in the field honing raptor identification skills. The workshop will be led by several peregrine falcon experts, including Art McMorris, peregrine falcon coordinator for the Game Commission. Participating teachers are eligible for 5.5 Act 48 credit hours. Registration is required. Space is limited, registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-service basis.
