Manada Conservancy, Partners To Host Sept. 26 Climate Change & Penn's Woods; Oct. 6 Walk In Penn's Woods Events In Dauphin County

The Manada Conservancy will host two events highlighting Pennsylvania's forests in Dauphin County.

September 26

Learn about Climate Change and Penn's Woods at a special program on September 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hershey Gardens Conservancy, 170 Hotel Road in Hershey starting at 7:00 p.m.

Join Greg Czarnecki, Director of Applied Climate Science with Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, will look at the current and projected impacts of climate change globally, in the US, and here in Pennsylvania.

He will also describe how one state agency, DCNR, is adapting to climate change to minimize the impact on state parks, state forests, and the natural resources of the Commonwealth.

October 6

Join the Dauphin County Woodland Owners Association and Manada Conservation on October 6 at 1:00 p.m. for a Walk In Penn's Woods starting at Detweiler Park, 1451 Peters Mountain Road in Dauphin.

This naturalist-led walk in Dauphin County's largest and newest park will offer two trail options with different Terrain.  The Trails are pet friendly, if leashed.
